The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has charged the Governing Council of KNUST to be proactive and innovative to ensure that the University ascribes to the transformation agenda of the nation.
According to him, STEM education which is becoming the new normal should be the core mandate of the University.
Mr. Osei Adutwum stressed that in an industrial revolution, the institution should seriously strategize in the teaching, learning and research field to maintain its respectable lead in the country.
Mr. Osei Adutwum made this known when he inaugurated the Governing Council of KNUST in Accra.
