The Technical University Teachers Association of Ghana (TUTAG), has begun a sit-down strike following the refusal of government to offer them the same conditions of service as lecturers in public universities.
The Technical University Teachers in a statement last Friday (September 14), declared the strike however, it officially began yesterday (September 17).
The Association says, a letter dated July 26th, 2018 and copied to relevant authorities of state such as the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the National Council for Tertiary Education(NCTE) to expedite action along with the fair wages and salaries commission in relation to their situation has not yielded any results.
