Ghana’s borders are officially under lock down. President Akufo-Addo ordered the closure of all of Ghana’s borders effective, midnight Sunday, March 22.

The decision forms part of Ghana’s response to stem the coronavirus epidemic.

President Akufo-Addo announced this in a third broadcast to the Nation, in ten days.

He said closure of the country’s borders will however not apply to goods, supplies and cargos.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that those arrived in the country before midnight, when the closure of the borders took effect have been placed under a compulsory quarantine.
