The Minister of Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has called on Authorities of Institutions of Higher Learning to create an enabling environment so as not to turn their campuses into breeding grounds for violence, anti-social behaviour or ethnic divisions.
He said this as he swore-in the Governing Councils of three newly established universities in Accra.
He said as grooming grounds for future leaders, the campuses must have a positive student experience.
He said while remaining focused on their core duties, the Councils must consider the sensitivities of other stakeholders with great circumspection, in order not to unduly disadvantage the vulnerable and the less-privileged.
