The Ghana Society of Radiographers (GSR) is advocating the establishment of a College for Allied Health Professionals in the country.
They have therefore called on government through the Ministry of Health to amend the Specialist Health Training and Plant Medicine Research Act 2011 (Act 833) to facilitate the establishment of the College.
The Society believes this will enable Radiographers to pursue advanced courses or post-graduate programmes in medical imaging to enable them to compete effectively in the new technologies and evolution in the medical profession.
The President of the Society, Prince Rockson made the call in Ho at the National Scientific Conference of the Society’s first triennial congress.
