The Ghana Medical Association says there has been no confirmation of the new strain of the Coronavirus in Ghana.

This is after the new strain of the virus was recently recorded in Nigeria and South Africa.

General Secretary of the Association Dr. Justice Yankson, said the new strain is not strange because viruses mutate into different forms.

Dr. Yankson cautioned that the new strain spreads faster among the youth and in children, and called for the adherence of the Covid-19 protocols.
