Manager of the Expanded Programme on Immunization, Dr. Kwame Amponsah Achiano, says there are no shortages of covid-19 vaccines as being speculated.
He said although current issues regarding the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and related blood clotting have affected production, high-level discussions are ongoing for alternatives whilst government awaits the second tranche.
Dr. Achiano, who was speaking on the Uniiq Breakfast Drive said under the Covax facility for lower and middle-income countries, Ghana was to have received the vaccines from February through to May.
