Home Stars FC marked their return to the Ho Sports Stadium with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Great Ambition in Match Day 16 of the ongoing Access Bank Division One League.
The club had been forced to relocate to Hohoe due to the usage of the Ho Sports Stadium for the 41st National Farmers’ Day celebrations, which left the pitch in a poor state, failing to meet basic criteria and standards of the GFA Club Licensing Board.
During their temporary relocation, Home Stars FC played four games, comprising three league matches and one FA Cup tie, resulting in three consecutive home wins and a 1-2 loss in the FA Cup Round of 32 to Inter Allies FC.
They returned home to a warm welcome from their loyal fans, who packed the Ho Sports Stadium to witness their first match back.
