The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Michael Okyere Baafi, has joined the nation in mourning the victims of the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight individuals, including two cabinet ministers.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Mr. Baafi expressed sorrow over the incident and paid tribute to the lives lost, particularly acknowledging his personal connection to one of the deceased.



“I join the rest of our nation in mourning the untimely passing of my brother from Koforidua, Hon. Dr. Kofi Omane Boamah, and Hon. Dr. Murtala Mohammed, both cabinet ministers, along with six others, in today’s tragic plane crash,” he wrote.
Describing the loss as a “painful and heartbreaking moment for Ghana,” the MP extended his condolences to the families affected by the incident.
“To the bereaved families and loved ones, I extend my deepest sympathies. I share in your grief and pray that the Lord grants you strength and comfort in this time of immense sorrow,” Mr. Baafi added.
He concluded his message with a solemn reflection: “May the souls of all the departed rest in perfect peace. Ghana has lost some of her brightest and most committed servants.”
