Police arrest over 30 suspected drug peddlers

The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested 38 suspected drug peddlers including a woman at Waterland in Tema Manhean.
Among the items retrieved from the suspects are quantities of wrapped dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, mobile phones and other personal belongings.
The Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joseph Darkwah, who confirmed this to GBC’s Radio Ghana said the suspects will be screened and those found culpable will be processed for Court, while the dried leaves are forwarded to the Police Forensic Laboratory for examination.
DSP Darkwah explained that the exercise which is part of measures to clamp down on miscreants within the Tema Metropolis and surrounding communities will be sustained before, during and after the Christmas festivities.
