Parliamentarians today, June 27, 2023, abandoned Parliament to support Candidates in the Assin-North by-election which is expected to see a tilt in the Legislative Arm of Government depending on who wins.

The Majority and Minority caucuses in Parliament are optimistic about their contestants winning the Assin North by-election.

Speaking to GBC News, Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu said the NPP’s Charles Opoku will win with a narrow margin. He said his visit to the area showed although the NDC has some strongholds, his side will win.

Meanwhile, the MP for Dormaa West Vincent Oppong Asamoah had a counter view and said ”the love the people have for the NDC Candidate James Gyakye-Quayson will translate into an overwhelming victory for him”.
