EC resumes voter ID card replacement exercise

The Electoral Commission (EC) will from today (August 8), resume replacement of lost voter ID cards. The exercise will take place in all of the ECs offices nationwide.

A statement signed by the EC Chairperson, Jean Mensa, explained that the replacement of the cards were suspended to enable the Commission to concentrate on the 2019 Limited Voters Registration.

Those who need new voter ID cards will be required to pay five cedis.

The Fees are to be paid into the Commission’s Bank Account and the payslip submitted to the District office where the initial registration took place.

Fees can be paid at any GCB Bank nationwide.
