The Editor-in-Chief of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr. has called on politicians to concentrate on enriching their ”brains instead of their pockets.

He said ”empty” heads cannot be fulfilling politicians. Mr. Pratt Jnr. was speaking at an event in Accra to mark the 110th Birthday of Ghana’s First President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, organized by the the Socialists Forum.

Mr. Pratt, who is also Convener of the Forum noted that the only way to become a good politician is for them to know their society, understand the conditions of life of its people, learn the history, and master the ability to translate the knowledge into organizational skills to help build the country, and that is what Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah represents.

Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s son Francis, Foreign dignitaries, Nkrumahists, Politicians, Accademia, youth, womens groups, faith based organizations, and the media were among those present to listen to the presentation organized by the Socialists Forum of Ghana backed by the Convention Peoples Party, CPP to mark the 110th Birthday of Ghana’s First President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

Mr. Kwesi Pratt said Ghana stands at the verge of danger of being colonised because politicians have refused to follow the example of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

Mr. Pratt said it is unfortunate that Ghanaian politicians have decided to trade almost everything, including the country’s resources.

At the Forum, the CPP and the Socialist Forum maintained that Ghana’s history cannot be re-written , insisting that Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is the founder of Ghana.
