Government has placed an embargo on all new contracts and appointments until the transition period is over.
These include the signing of contracts for goods and services exceeding ¢2 million and for works exceeding ¢5 million.
Critical issue which may arise requires permission from the Office of the President in a written form before any decision is taken.
Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide announced this at a media briefing in Accra.
He said the embargo is part of efforts to ensure smooth transition.
