President-elect John Dramani Mahama has formed an anti-corruption preparatory team as part of his “Operation Recover All Loot” (ORAL) initiative, signaling his commitment to fighting corruption and ensuring accountability.

The announcement, made by the Transition Team on December 18, 2024, highlights Mahama’s resolve to deliver on a key promise from his 2024 presidential campaign.

In a statement signed by spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the team’s mandate includes gathering information from the public and credible sources about suspected acts of corruption. This groundwork will underpin Mahama’s Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative, aimed at reclaiming proceeds of corruption and holding perpetrators accountable.

The preparatory team includes notable figures with diverse expertise:

Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa – Chairman

Mr. Daniel Domelevo – Former Auditor-General

COP (Rtd.) Nathaniel Kofi Boakye – Former Police Officer

Mr. Martin Kpebu – Private Legal Practitioner

Mr. Raymond Archer – Investigative Journalist

This multidisciplinary team reflects Mahama’s strategy of combining legal, investigative, and public service perspectives to intensify the fight against corruption.
