The President, John Dramani Mahama, is expected to travel to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to attend the World Governments Summit 2026.
The summit, scheduled to take place from February 2 to 4, will bring together world leaders, senior government officials and policy experts to discuss global governance, development and emerging international challenges.
President Mahama is attending the meeting at the invitation of the ruler of the United Arab Emirates. He is expected to travel on a special aircraft provided by the UAE authorities.
After the Dubai visit, the president is expected to continue to Zambia for a three-day state visit from 4 to 6 February, following an invitation from President Hakainde Hichilema.
During the Zambia trip, President Mahama is expected to hold bilateral talks focused on diplomatic relations, trade and regional cooperation, including collaboration under the African Continental Free Trade Area.
