New voters’ register: Gamey & Co ADR offers to resolve EC and NDC impasse

The Gamey & Co ADR Centre has offered to conduct a  facilitated mediation to help the Electoral Commission and the opposition political parties to reach an agreement on the proposed new voters register which has generated controversy and political tension in the country.

The organisation is of the view that if not handled professionally and with care the impasse would disturb the peace and security in the country.

Chairman of Gamey & Co ADR Centre, Austin Gamey has been speaking to Radio Ghana`s George Ankrah about the form in which the mediation process with stakeholders on the new voters register will take.

He said at the moment the Electoral Commission and the dissenting political parties are not in agreement therefore there is the need to guide them to resolve the issue.
