Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, has given assurance that, the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) program is making progress, with no compromised dockets. He emphasized that individuals will be held accountable for their actions, stating, “People are being held accountable and will continue to be held to account as far as the ORAL program is concerned”.
He defended the ORAL initiative, describing it as a crucial mechanism for recovering stolen state resources and promoting accountability, aligned with the 1992 Constitution.
The Attorney General rejected allegations of secret deals, assuring that all cases are handled strictly according to the law. He disclosed that 16 dockets are under review, with thorough scrutiny to ensure sound legal outcomes.
Dr. Ayine also addressed concerns about the team’s workload, acknowledging that they are “overworked and underpaid”. He made this known to the Vice President, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang who visited the Attorney and Ministry of Justice today, February 5, 2026.
The Vice President assured of government’s support, adding that, the concerns regarding staff being over worked and underpaid have been heard and noted.
