A new political party has emerged with the hope of rescuing Ghanaians from the present socio-economic predicaments.
The Risen People’s Party (RPP), says that with the present state of Ghana, Ghanaians need to embrace a new crop of leaders who will be much more committed to the course of the nation.
At a news conference in Accra to announce its entry into the presidential race, the Founder and Presidential Candidate of the RPP, Apostle James Kwesi Oppong, said that when elected as president, Ghana will be transformed for the benefit of the citizenry.
He said Ghanaians have voted for the two major political parties under the Fourth Republic, the NPP and the NDC; however, the right development has not been delivered, hence the need for a paradigm shift.
Apostle Oppong is unhappy about the exodus of the youth to other countries in search of greener pastures.
This, he stated, will be reduced when he is elected, as employment opportunities will be created to ensure that the youth stay in the country to contribute to national development.
He said that with concerted efforts and demonstrating sterling and incorruptible leadership in public service, his government will put Ghana first in all their endeavours.
Apostle Oppong promised to ensure corruption and indiscipline in society are reduced to the bearest minimum, leveraging biblical principles and teachings.
Making the Ghana Cedi strong to enhance trade, he pledged, will be key on his agenda, saying “the Cedi is weak and is always depreciating against the major trading currencies.”
“Country men and women, I declare to you today that there is a new Political Party in this country, Ghana to contest the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary general election on 7th December, 2024 to help solve economic hardship and change the weak Cedi to foster easy life in Ghana,” the Presidential Candidate declared.
“Trading with our foreign partners is so difficult because we have a weak Cedi,” he noted.
Apostle James Oppong observed, “life in the country is not well with most citizens, making some of our brilliant citizens to leave for greener pastures elsewhere.”
“With Risen People’s Party we will make sure that things are done right to make life enjoyable,” he assured.

Apostle Oppong is hopeful the party will be elected come December 7, 2024, to have incorruptible and God-fearing leaders at the helm of affairs of the nation.
