The Supreme Court will today rule on whether or not the EC chair Jean Mensah should mount the witness box in the ongoing election petition hearing.
The first and second respondents had earlier submitted witness statements to the court but in a rather interesting twist on Monday, the lawyer for the EC and President Akufo-Addo closed their cases saying they did not want to call any witness.
This meant the EC chair was not going to be cross-examined by lawyers for the petitioner as has been widely anticipated.
