Central Regional Police PRO, Irene Oppong has confirmed that two persons have been injured after some unidentified men opened fire on electorates at a polling station in the Awutu Senya East constituency in the Central Region.
The perpetrators are alleged to have aimed at the NDC parliamentary candidate, Phyllis Koryoo Okunor.
However, their attempt to cause harm to the candidate were unsuccessful.
She explained that they stopped in front of a KIA saloon car occupied by the victims and started shooting.
Unfortunately, two out of five people in the KIA saloon car sustained injuries.
