Voters Exhibition Exercise ends

The Voters Exhibition Exercise which started on 18th of this month ended today with low turnout across centers.  A visit to some selected Exhibition centers like Effiduase Community A and B, Effiduase Police Station A and B, Oyoko Methodist Primary and JHS, Koforidua Zongo, Adweso Methodist Church and Srodie SDA Exhibition Centers by our Correspondent indicated that most centers have recorded low turnout. As at 9 am when our reporter visited some Exhibition centers, most of the Exhibition Officers indicated that they are yet to record any turn out.

The Exhibition Officer in Charge of the Oyoko ICT Center, Hayford Afriyie Kwayisi in an interview with Radio Ghana disclosed that out of the 367 voters in the center’s register, 191 checked their names representing fifty point zero four percent of turnout.

The Officer in Charge of the Biometric Verification Device, BVD, at the same Center, Andrew Nyame-Opoku also said the Device which is being used on pilot bases has been functioning well so far.

At Effiduase Police Station, out of 539 on the register, 238 checked their names whiles at Effiduase Community Center ‘One’, out of the 295 on the Voters register, 118 turned out.
