The Member of Parliament for Zebilla Constituency, Ebenezer Ndebilla Alumire, has announced renewed progress on the long-delayed Community Senior High School, known as the E-Blocks project, in the Zebilla Constituency in the Upper East Region.

Speaking to the media during a working visit to the construction site in Sapelliga, the MP revealed that a contractor has officially resumed work under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.

According to him, the previous administration was unable to complete the project, leading to years of stagnation.

“The previous administration failed to continue the school building. But thank God that President John Mahama has paid a contractor to return and finish up the building. We are grateful to the President for prioritizing the completion of this facility,” the MP said.

Mr. Alumire expressed optimism about the current pace of work, noting that the project is now over 80 percent complete. He emphasized that the resumption marks a significant step toward improving educational infrastructure in the constituency.

“A lot of economic activities will take place here when this school starts operating. No doubt about that,” he added.

The E-Blocks initiative, originally designed to expand access to secondary education, is expected to benefit not only students in Sapelliga but also those from surrounding communities. Once completed, the facility will help reduce overcrowding in existing schools and create a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.

The MP further assured constituents that efforts are being made to ensure the timely completion of the project. He reiterated the government’s commitment to investing in education as a means of driving development in underserved areas.
