Antoine Semenyo isn’t backing down from the Premier League title fight, even after Manchester City’s frustrating 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

The dynamic forward, who made a splashy winter switch to the blue side of Manchester, fired home one of City’s goals in the thrilling North London showdown, keeping his hot streak alive with four strikes since arriving.

Fresh off the pitch, Semenyo radiated belief in his new club’s championship pedigree.

“We’ve got 14 games left, six points behind Arsenal isn’t the end. Anything can happen; they could drop points, we could rack up wins. The race shifts fast,” the Ghana international declared, shrugging off the stalemate with Spurs.

The result keeps Manchester City firmly in the hunt but trailing log leaders Arsenal by six points after 24 matches.

Arsenal sit pretty on 53 points atop the table, while City hold second with 47, setting up a nail-biting run-in to the English top-flight finish line.

Semenyo’s impact has been electric, netting 12 Premier League goals this season across stints at Bournemouth and now City, his career-best haul in the division.

The Black Stars star’s form injects vital firepower into Pep Guardiola’s squad as they chase glory.
With plenty of football left, Semenyo’s defiance echoes Ghanaian resilience, reminding fans that in the Premier League, no lead is safe.
