Twelve out of twenty suspects have been sentenced in connection with the renewed clashes over land between the people of Doba and Kandiga in the Kassena-Nankana Municipal and Kassena-Nankana West District of the Upper East Region.
The Navrongo Municipal Police Commander, Superintendent Francis Agyare, who made this known believed the conflict in the two communities is being financed by people outside the communities.
He said the Command retrieved a number of empty cartridges from the two communities adding that the team also found two hundred and fifty-seven cartridges and quantities of bow and arrows on an intercepted bus.
