The Southern Regional World Vision and the Oti Regional Coordinating Council have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to provide universal coverage services in the Oti Region.
The MOU, aimed at addressing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) challenges, will benefit three districts: Krachi West Municipal, Krachi Nchumuru District, and Kadjebi Akan District.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Rev. Harry Nii Kwatei Owoo, representing the Oti Regional Minister, expressed gratitude to World Vision Ghana for their timely intervention in the region.
He assured the council’s commitment to supporting the project, citing the region’s long-standing WASH challenges.
“The ORCC has benefited greatly from World Vision Ghana and is eager to support this initiative,” he said, tasking District Chief Executives to monitor and evaluate the projects.
Mr. Irvine Aboagye, Southern Regional Operations Manager of World Vision Ghana, pledged the organization’s support for the Oti Region, thanking the ORCC for their collaboration.
He emphasized that the WASH projects would alleviate water and sanitation challenges in the beneficiary communities, making life easier for them.
Mr. Robel Wamisho, Associate WASH Director of World Vision Ghana, advised the region to remain committed, assuring that World Vision would work tirelessly to fulfil its mission.
He encouraged supportive collaborations and open communication, noting that his office is always available for ideas.
The MOU signing ceremony culminated in the signing of documents between World Vision Ghana and the three districts, with the projects set to span five years.
