The Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) Wheelchair Tennis Team has departed for Rabat, Morocco, to compete in the 2026 ITF PNB Paribas World Team Cup Africa Qualifiers.
The tournament is scheduled to take place at Club Wifaq Tennis in Rabat from 30 March to 3 April 2026.
Ghana will be represented in the men’s division by senior wheelchair tennis player Bernard Yawson and junior player Emmanuel Amosogo Amobire. The team is accompanied by coach Daniel Kwakye (Okoro) and team official Godfred Ansong of Ghana Wheelchair Tennis.

The team delivered an impressive performance last year, securing a bronze medal, and is hopeful of improving on that achievement in this year’s competition.
The team expressed gratitude to Ghana’s Ambassador to Morocco, Mrs Charity Gbedawo, for her support, as well as the National Coordinator of Ghana Wheelchair Tennis, Henry Larbi, GTF President Isaac Abe Duah, sponsors of Coach Okoro, and Many Miles Travel & Tour for their assistance in facilitating the trip.
The Ghana Tennis Federation and Ghana Wheelchair Tennis say they remain committed to developing the sport and creating opportunities for athletes with disabilities to compete at the highest level internationally.
