The scheduled match-day 16 encounter between Asante Kotoko and Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium has been rained off.
The heavy rainfall in Accra on Thursday evening disrupted the start of the game forcing match officials to cancel the match.
Referee Jacob Aduntera after an assessment of the pitch and in consultation with the Match Commissioner Mr. Adam Mukaila decided to call off the match.
It is unclear when the match would be played because Great Olympics would host Bechem United on Friday in the last league match of week 16 at the same venue.
Kotoko is scheduled to take on arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday with another outstanding game against King Faisal next month.
