French Ligue 1 side Le Havre AC have officially announced the departure of Ghanaian international Andre Ayew ahead of the 2025/26 season. The 35-year-old midfielder originally joined the club in November 2023 as a free agent following his exit from Nottingham Forest and recently concluded a one-year contract extension signed in October 2024.

Ayew, a former captain of the Ghana Black Stars, played a crucial role in helping Le Havre maintain their Ligue 1 status during his tenure. The club paid tribute to his dedication and fighting spirit in a statement, describing him as a “monster of combativeness” and a true example for both the team and its supporters. “He so well understood the HAC and its audience, Le Havre and its inhabitants,” the statement read.

During his time at the French club, Andre Ayew made 49 appearances across all competitions and scored nine goals, showcasing his experience and skill on the pitch. His contributions earned respect from teammates, fans, and management alike, reflecting his influence both on and off the field.

Andre Ayew’s professional journey has taken him to nine different clubs across Europe and beyond, including stints at Olympique Marseille, Swansea City, West Ham United, Fenerbahçe, Al-Sadd, and Nottingham Forest. Now a free agent, the celebrated midfielder will be seeking a move to become part of his tenth club as he continues his football career.
