The Netherlands National Senior Football Men’s Team beat African Champions, Senegal 2-0 to bag home all three (3) points at stake in the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The Head Coach of the Dutch side, Louis van Gaal’s got the job done against the African Champions who had fairly good chances but failed to secure a goal.
Cody Gakpo opened the scoring in the 84th minute with a brave header at the end of a brilliantly timed run.
On as a substitute, Davy Klaassen put the game beyond doubt deep in injury time by capitalizing on an error from Senegalese Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
The Dutch side converted their chances late, but, a goal from Cody Gakpo and Davy Klaassen got the job done after 8 minutes of injury time.
