Scientists, African Environment Ministers, Chief Executives of International Banks, representatives from UN Development Programme and private sector actors across the world will be in Accra from today for this year’s Africa Climate Week.

Ghana will take advantage of the event to solicit support to implement her Nationally Determined Contributions NDC.

The content of NDC which also outlined the national action plan on Climate Change was the bedrock of the Paris Agreement in 2016 where about 196 countries, were expected to individually draft documents to communicate to the international community how they intended to reduce their Green House Gas (GHG) emissions and adapt to climate change.

About $22.6 billion is needed to implement 31 programmes across seven economic sectors.
