Thirty-five people have been confirmed dead with several others injured in an accident that occurred in the early hours of yesterday at Dompoase on the Komenda-Takoradi High way.
Twenty-nine died on the spot while five others died on the way to the Cape Coast Teaching hospital.
Meanwhile, 54 other passengers sustained various degrees of injury with some said to be in very critical condition.
According to an eye witness, a Man Diesel bus traveling from Takoradi towards Cape Coast collided with a Hyundai bus traveling from Accra to Takoradi.
The Police and the Fire Service were on hand to rescue the victims.
