The Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori Atta will today present to Parliament an advanced budget covering government spending for the first quarter of 2021.

The advanced budget is a standard practice rolled out in election years to prevent transitional challenges in the smooth running of government for the first three months of the year after elections.

In anticipation of the budget presentation, some residents in Tema have been sharing their thoughts on what the budget is likely to entail.

According to them, they anticipate the budget will address plans to boost the economy by reducing taxes to facilitate institutions which were negatively impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Others also expect the advanced budget to enlighten Ghanaians on the Country`s expenditure from the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
