Police arrest sixty more alleged members of separatist group

The number of people arrested in connection with the recent attacks orchestrated by Secessionists Group, Homeland Study Foundation, has risen to 60.

Out of the number, about fifty of them have been remanded while others are being processed for Court.

This was announced by Deputy Information Minister, Pius Enam Hadzide, after a meeting between Government and Traditional Leaders in the Region, over the developments.

His statement comes on the back of the initial 31 suspects who have been slapped with five charges by State Prosecutors at an Accra Circuit court.

The Deputy Information Minister, said Government has deployed adequate Security Personnel across the Volta and Oti Regions, to combat any possible attacks by the Separatist Group.
