Residents of Kasoa-SCC — Weija have appealed to the government to as a matter of urgency come to their aid by constructing bigger drains to stop flooding anytime it rains.
In an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, some residents and drivers complained about the flooding which stops them from working whenever it rains.
A resident, George Gyamesi said there is a big gully behind Rayees Steel Company along the SCC Road which collects water and spills onto the road during heavy downpour.
He appealed to government to do something about the situation in order to avert disaster.
Pedestrians are not able to use the road when it rains and most vehicles resort to using one lane to avoid getting stuck in the mud causing traffic.
