Construction works on a 2.4 Kilometer road from the Saint John’s the Divine Anglican Church to Copa Junction in Winneba which commenced a month and a half ago is fast nearing completion.
Lancaster Construction Company Limited is undertaking the construction works awarded by the Effutu Municipal Assembly and expected to be completed in 24 months.
Chief Executive of Lancaster Construction Company, Supi Nenyi Abbam stated that the works involved stripping the entire stretch off-base and sub-base, repairing soft spots, stabilizing the foundation of the road, laying crush rocks base and sub-base, sealing and asphalting.
“Even though we have gone through a number of challenges, we hope to work hard to overcome them to be able to complete the task given us on time for free movement of goods and services, he said.
He appealed to people living along that stretch whose businesses have been affected by the construction works to bear with them and continue to cooperate with them for successful competition in the interest of the development of Effutuman.
