Minister For Foreign Affairs receives envoys Of Gulf Cooperation Council accredited to Ghana

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has received envoys of the Gulf Cooperation Council accredited to Ghana to discuss evolving regional and global developments.

The meeting, held on Monday, April 13 2026, brought together the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Dakhel, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Murad Suliaman Mohammed Al-Mandoos, Ambassador of the State of Qatar, His Excellency Khalid Bin Jabor Saif Jasser Al-Mesallam, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the State of Kuwait, Husain Alebrahim.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa reaffirmed Ghana’s principled foreign policy stance on respect for sovereign and territorial integrity, as well as adherence to a rules-based international order.

The envoys acknowledged the collaboration between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Ghana at both bilateral and multilateral levels and emphasised the need for peace. They also recounted developments in the Middle East, highlighting the humanitarian crises and stressing the importance of peaceful resolution through dialogue.
