Sanitation Ministry committed to achieving president’s vision to rid Accra of filth

The committee on Works and Housing of Parliament has paid a working visit to the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources in Accra.

The Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah said her Ministry is poised to ensure the President’s vision of ridding the country of filth and improving access to safe drinking water is achieved.

She said it is good the Parliamentary Committee which oversees its activities visited to see at first hand the ministry’s achievements and challenges.

The Chairman of the Works and Housing Committee of Parliament, Nana Amoako acknowledged that the Ministry’s work is herculean.

He said with time, plastic waste has become a major cause for concern and urged the Minister to ensure the menace is brought under control.
