The Tema Car Dealers Association has called off its demonstration scheduled for today.
The protest was to send a strong signal to government that its decision to ban used cars will collapse their business and deprive more than twenty thousand artisans of their livelihood if the policy is rolled out on 1st November 2020.
Speaking to journalists in Tema, Secretary of the Coalition of Car dealers, Kofi Asamoah said the decision to call off the protest was necessitated by engagement between government and the executive of the Coalition.
He said government promised to address their concerns soon, and they are hopeful.
