Police Service takes delivery of drones to fight drug related crimes

Twenty drug law enforcement and three ICT officers across the country have received training on how to fight drug-related offences. This comes at a time, crime has become complex and complicated to fight.

At the closing ceremony for Senior Police Officers Training in Accra,  the Italian government presented two drones and six motorbikes to the CID of the Police Service.

Receiving the items, the Director-General in Charge of Services, COP Amponsah Asiamah, said crime has become technological and sophisticated, and the drones have come at an opportune time to help the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Service to combat crime.

The Italian Ambassador to Ghana, Giovanni Favilli said to effectively wage war on the menace, modern equipment is needed.

He said the collaboration will strengthen and enhance the relationship between the two countries in fighting crime.
