The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA), is confident that the Upper West Region is now food secure.
This is because the region has enough farm produce to feed itself during the lean season.
The gains made in this direction, have been attributed to one of government’s flagship programmes, ‘Planting for Food and Jobs’.
The Upper West Regional Director of the Ministry, Emmanuel Sasu Yeboah, made the observation while interacting with the media during a tour of a one-thousand-metric-tonne capacity warehouse, at Bulenga in the Wa East District.
