The Electoral Commission has dismissed a publication claiming it has imported some faulty Biometric Voter Registration devices from Nigeria into the country. According to the EC, the allegations in the said publication, are a figment of the writer’s imagination since it has not imported any such equipment.
The statement assures the public that the allegations in the said article are false and should be disregarded.
It also calls on the security agencies to get to the bottom of this matter. The Electoral Commission cautions the public to be wary of people in society who peddle malicious falsehood to misinform Ghanaians, tarnish the Commission’s reputable image and create needless fear and panic in the country.
