President John Dramani Mahama is convening a high-level global health dialogue in Geneva, Switzerland, under the “Accra Reset” initiative aimed at promoting health financing and reducing Africa’s dependence on foreign aid systems.
The event, known as the “Geneva Clarion Call,” brought together representatives from the World Health Organization, Gavi, the Global Fund, the Pandemic Fund, and the Rockefeller Foundation at the Global Health Campus.
The meeting focused on new health financing and delivery systems intended to strengthen African health systems amid declining international aid.
